Posada del León de Oro
Posada del León de Oro is an old building from XIX Century located in the heart of Madrid. With its contemporary concept, the Posada re-opened its doors again in December 2010 as a singular Hotel Boutique with a wonderful design and style. Our restaurant “Enotaberna” is considered our tradicional concept of the hotel.
His 17 rooms, all different, combine nostalgia and the latest trend in decoration, art y fashion.
Situated a few meters from Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace and “Area of Art” (Prado Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and Reina Sofia National Museum).

"A lovely historic hotel with lovely staff and in a perfect location for wonderful walking (and tapas!) in the older (most interesting!) quarter of Madrid (the La Latina/Los Austrias/Lavapies/Las Letras and Sol area). 5 minutes to Mercado de San Miguel (a must!) and Plaza Mayor. 10 minutes to Opera and Sol (with the latter being where you can pick up the easy Renfe connection to the airport). We like it so much we have already been twice and will look nowhere else when we next go to Madrid."

"What a great place to stay! Hard to think of a better and more convenient location - right in the middle of the best tapas street in Madrid. We had the Penthouse which was spacious, clean and modern. Despite being in the middle of all the action, the room was quiet. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant - what more could you want?"
